Day by day
The rites follow a fixed order. Read them once before you travel and the week will feel familiar rather than fast.
At the miqāt you wash, put on the two white cloths and make the intention. From here perfume, trimming and argument are set aside — and everyone in the group looks the same.
A day and a night in the tent city: five prayers shortened, an early night, and the last quiet before Arafat.
From noon until sunset you stand and you ask. This is the day the whole journey rests on — our guides keep the group together and the water moving.
Maghrib and isha joined, then sleep on open ground under the sky, and gather the pebbles for the morning.
The stoning at Jamrat al-ʿAqabah, the sacrifice, then shaving or shortening the hair. The days of Tashrīq follow, with the stoning repeated each afternoon.
Back to the Haram for the seven circuits and the saʿī between Ṣafā and Marwah. We book this for the small hours, when the courtyard is at its calmest.
One last circuit before the coach leaves. Most people tell us this is the walk they remember longest.

Seven circuits around the Kaaba, counter-clockwise, starting and ending at the Black Stone corner. Some circuits close in tight, some stay wide — the crowd decides, not you.
Seven passes between Ṣafā and Marwah, retracing Hājar’s search for water. The green-lit stretch is where men are asked to quicken their pace.
Shaving the head or trimming the hair closes the ʿUmrah. Women trim a fingertip’s length; the white cloths come off and everyday clothes return.

Rooms in the Ajyad and Jabal Omar districts — a seven-minute walk to the King Abdulaziz gate, and a lift back for anyone who needs it after ṭawāf.
Inside the central area, facing the northern courtyards. Close enough that the older members of the group make every prayer without a coach.
